IKF WORLD AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM G-FORCE 8.11

We entered.  We fought.  We Won!

worldclassiclogoblk.jpgVictory for Team G-Force competition in the “Golden Gloves” of Full Contact Kickboxing World competition!  After putting on the first Paradise Cup IKF Point-Kickboxing tournament in February,  a core group of fighters started training for the IKF World Classic Kickboxing Championships in August. With six of Team G-Force fighters competing in this world event, (4) four World Championship Titles in (4) separate weight & age divisions were won.

The names of our (4) World Champions are:

Jr. Featherweight Champion Girls division Katrina “The Storm” Nahe defeating her opponent Samantha within 1 minute of the 1st round by TKO (Technical Knock Out).

Hugo Rivera defeated  former IKF Atomweight Champion John Marone of South Carolina with an impressive split decision to win the Title.

In the first round of eliminations, Logan Kauth TKO’d opponent Jesse Price in the 2nd round.  Logan went on to capture the World Amateur Middleweight Championship Title after defeating his undefeated  opponent Chuck Anderson in a 4th round unanimous decision who is now 6-1.

In the Jr. Middleweight International Rules division where full contact to the lower extremities are allowed (lower leg kicks),  Darryn “The Blade” McDade captured the World Amateur Championship Title in an unanimous decision over Alex Barnes of Arkansas winning all (3) rounds and leaving no doubt who the next World Champion was going to be for 2007 in this competitive weight class.

In probably one of the best fights of the day Nick Chinchilla performed with championship like fashion but could not maintain the command and lead he had in the 1st round and some into the 2nd round resulting in a very close split decision to game fighter, Gilbert Vasquez of Texas. Hats off to Nick Chinchilla, a very exciting skillful “Must See Fighter of Guila’s Team G-Force.”  Nick is a Team G-Force fighter you don’t want to miss in action. “Keep on Kickin Nick!”

And last but not least, Karen Espinoza the woman of a champions heart fought with unbelievable courage and represented with great spirit against tough opponent Rebekkah Verdin of South Carolina losing after a great (3) rounds.
